Bay Silver

The Bay Silver property covers a series of silver-rich veins controlled by the former Bayview and Gold Cliff properties. High-grade shipments of silver ore were made in the 1930’s and early 1980’s.

Location and Property Status

The Bay Silver property is located on the east slope of Mt. Dolly, about 3.5 km north of Stewart. Silver Grail Resources and Teuton Resources own the property jointly.

Mineralization

From 1934-36 the former Bayview-Gold Cliff prospects were connected by a tramline to a road along the Bear River valley below Mt. Dolley. During this time 169 tons of silver-lead-zinc ore grading 265 oz/ton were shipped from the property by United Empire Gold and Silver Mining. In the early 1980’s, Bayview Resources shipped another 21 tons grading 168 oz/ton silver, 17.0% lead and 16.5% zinc.

Although the property has been largely dormant for the past 20 years, higher silver prices prevailing from 2005 to the present have renewed interest in the high-grade veins on the Bay Silver. Silver Grail and Teuton are now seeking an option partner to finance further work.

Drill Results From Clone Property
